How hard can it be???

As a young soldier I was taught that nothing you wanted to achieve was ever given to you on a plate. I distinctly remember the 3 months before I tried out for the Under 21's rugby team, the actual amount of physical training I undertook was immense.
For months before I took my All Arms Commando course I trained, and trained and trained and then trained some more.
I have tried to take that on in all the things I have done in my life, whenever I have had a presentation to give I have practiced hard, whenever I wanted a promotion I know that I have to work hard.
It is absolutely no different when working online!

People come and sign up to online businesses in their thousands, and never actually do any more. The most common complaint I actually hear online is "I was promised spillover"!

Well here's the facts - if the whole team promotes their links spillover will happen! We all work as one it WILL happen. Even after being given a training plan, which most ignore, people will still complain...

So here's another fact - The system is working for thousands, don't blame the system. The system is working for me - don't blame me.

Using Traffic Exchanges

How to build your list using Traffic Exchanges…
Before you start putting your affiliate site on the T.E.’s you should take a few minutes to understand the role they play in building a business. You see the Traffic Exchanges were designed for people to show case their affiliate business/ MLM opportunity, and in the beginning this is exactly what they did. As time went on and more people joined the T.E.’s it became obvious to most that trying to build your business with an affiliate site was getting steadily harder.
Then people started tabbing the exchanges, so they were surfing 5 to 8 at a time, and at that point the smart marketer realized that they had to do something else to get sign-ups from the T.E.’s.

Up to this point Lead Capture Pages had been used to great effect on the T.E.’s , but now the surfers only saw your site for about 3 seconds, and if it wasn’t instantly appealing you had no chance of getting a sign up.

It was at this point that the “expert” surfers realized that they could use the Traffic Exchanges to build their “list”, and then promote their primary business from the list that they had created. To do this they needed to get the prospect interested within the first couple of seconds.

The had to show something colourful, bold, brash and put the information in front of their fellow surfers all within three seconds, and the page needed to be fast loading…

The splash page was born.

The splash is a hybrid between a lead capture page, and an info page. It usually has a picture, or graphic of some kind, and has to tempt the surfer to click on a link within the page, and get re-directed to a website or Lead Capture Page.

So now you’ve got your splash page, but you need to convert your clicks to leads, and for that you need a Lead Capture Page. Most Good Marketing Systems will have a built in Lead Capture Page, the better the system the easier it will be to convert leads, but the obvious thing to point out here, is that no matter how good your splash page, if you try to link your business to your splash page you are turning away 90% of people that could be leads. Link a splash page to a marketing system and you are more likely to get leads on your list, and then convert them to your business once you have gained their trust.

Simple Low and No Cost Ways To Generate Leads.

We have already established that "the money is in the list", the most pressing problem any online marketer encounters is building a list, and then promoting to that list and getting them interested in the opportunity being presented.

But let me also put forward the strange idea(?) that all the people on the list you build will not necessarily be interested in your primary business. In fact I would guess that 80-95% will have no interest in your business whatsoever.

You can still use these people to help you by joining programs you recommend to them, and this will help in other ways. Building your credits on the Traffic Exchanges, safelists, listbuilders etc.

So What Do You Need To Get These Daily Leads?

You need one thing to capture leads - A Lead Capture Page!

How Simple is that...

But if it was that simple why isn't everyone's lead capture page in overdrive.

OK think about this, I use my New Rich Lead Capture page (LINK) on the safelists and list builders, and this probably gets me 1-5 leads everyday - dependant on how many I send out!

But at this point I differ with the New Rich Report lessons on Traffic Exchanges, and here's why.

The surfers on the traffic exchanges are not actually interested in more business opportunities, they are already in a business (that's why they're surfing), the easiest thing for them to ignore is another afilliate site.

So how do we generate leads and sign-ups for the New Rich Report and build a list on the TE's.

Simple we use what is called a splash page. A splash page has to be short, and show the surfer something they want enough to make them click on the link, or fill in the information you require off them.

So the question is what would make the average surfer stop and look at your ad, what does every surfer want???

There are many ways you can build your own splash page I created this (Splash) page using a free Microsoft website (Microsoft Office Live), and this generates about 3-7 signups everyday.

Now I generated 5 New Rich Report Sign-ups in the last 2 days, but actually generated 15 leads. So knowing that I am generating leads how do you promote to them....

Titles to Sell on Safelists...Really...

Using Safelists to Increase Your Sign-ups!!!

The one thing I have found conspicuously missing from the New Rich Report is Safelisting, and yet for a system that prides itself on helping internet marketers build their downline, it was something I had to enquire about.
To be fair to Janet she was straightforward and told me it wasn't something she used and hadn't thought about. Maybe for the future...
So whats the idea behind a safelist, well I always think that the safelist is a lower tech version of a traffic exchange, but delivered to your email box. They are usually free or extremely low cost and give you the ability to reach out to other safelisters.
The thing to remember with safelist, aswell as traffic exchanges is that all the users are looking to get signup's/ sell a product etc.
So whats the issue?
Well you have to remember that when you've sent your email ad to someones list address, it nestles among hundreds of other ads, and basically the best title wins! If you are going to earn credits for each email you open, then you want to be opening the ones most relevant to you - It's ad copy but quick!
So let me give some rough examples of the ads I ignore, and see if we are on the same lines...if they read something like;-

You can earn upto... I'm going to ignore this I have already got my primary business.
The 6 minute movie that... You are a GDI newbie that hasn't yet realized that safelisting won't help you much.
Get in at the top now... Again I am already in a primary program I don't want any more.
Join this free... This is my all time favourite, because free means you want something off me and I am campaigning against "free"

There are a couple more, but you get the idea...
So how do we use safelists to help build our primary business, and this is the simplest answer I can give...
We let go of what we want, and offer the safelisters what they want to build their business...
How does this marry with the New Rich System.
Well of course, simply put, the New Rich System is designed to help Network Marketers, and Internet Marketers both old and new...So the simplest way to get sign-ups from safe lists - offer them what they want, add in a power word, and don't mention free!

The recipient is basically intent on getting credits for his/herself, so that they can send out their mail, they really don't have much time to read a couple of pages of ad copy, they're going to scroll down to the credit link, and hit the button, so you have between 3 and 5 seconds to get their attention.

The Shorter The Message, The More Likely They are To Take Notice.

Remember it is your lead capture page that is designed to get the information from them, so if you can use lots of colour in your message, just prepare them for what they are going to see. That's it...Simple

What the Hell is "FREE"?

I have decided to take a personal battle against the word "FREE"!

How many times have you see it, get this "free" report, sign-up to my "free" system, earn money "free", you can get in just for today "free", take this "free" 7 day trial...

You know it, you've seen it, you probably even signed up for it.

It makes me so angry that "free" is so overused it's unreal. It is the prime marketing tool of online and offline marketer. A couple of years ago I was approached by a double glazing salesman who did me a quote for my house, then halved the cost and called it BOGOF (buy one get one free), then got quite aggressive with me when I told him I wanted a couple more independent quotes.
The next guy comes along, See's the quote from the first and drops £250 off. When I tell him I want some more quotes he promises me that no one could beat his quote, and of course gets quite antsy with me when I insist I want some more.
The third guy comes along and quotes me £250 less, so I ring the first and second guy up, who promptly drop another £250, and £300 off the price,
The first price was £9500 dropped to £4750 BOGOF, the second quotes £4500 the third £4250, the first guy then drops to £4000, and the second now goes to £3950.

Now my stepfather is a handy man, and he fits my whole house with double glazing for £800.

What the hell was "FREE"???

Now the Internet is responsible for so many misconceptions, and broken dreams from the promise of "FREE" money.

Right hands up who wants their own business, that will give them thousands in residual income every month. Well of course you do - who doesn't. Let me show you a "FREE" system. Here's the catch - the free system will not make you any money, it's the business inside the free system that will make you money, and guess what - you have to pay for it.

Let me show you what I mean...

I am going to give you a free shop... Now you can sell anything you like, and you know if you sell enough you are going to make a profit!!!
So you decide to make you're shop a bike shop...
That's it, you going to make a wonga on all those bikes you sell - go for it!
Wait I can't see any bikes... What do you mean you've got to buy the bikes to put in your window for your customers to buy - you've actually got to front some money.

If you truly want your own business it is going to cost! The Internet has the power to make the cost less, but it will still cost. Lets take the bike's for example, their is a shop online that will give you a commission to sell their bikes - it doesn't cost anything to do this - except you need your own website, you need to advertise, you need to build a list of people who want your product, and you need to be able to communicate with them. Do you think that's free?

Some programs on the Internet will return your money quicker than others, as you can see by my previous posts I am a great advocate of GVO, this is because without referring anyone, without marketing you can make up to $4600 a month, but the cost to you will be $44.95, and your matrix will take time to fill. If you are not going to promote it, if you're not going to advertise and seek sign-ups someone else has to, hence it taking time to fill your matrix. Is it a worth while investment - absolutely, the person who sponsored you into the business wants to fill their matrix, and that means people will drop into yours!!!

Why You Should Invest In GVO.

Before I plunge in to the GVO payplan, you need to understand that GVO is a business builder in itself, take a good long look at what they offer.

Lets just take a look at the autoresponder, as this is the key to any Internet marketers list build!

I took a look at the Getresponse site, and entered in 10-25000 subscribers. Any internet marketer should be looking for a list that sort of size. The total price for this was $176.90 per month.

I then took a look at aweber, and again 10-25,000 subscribers $130 a month.

Compare this to GVO and you get UNLIMITED subscribers for $44.95 a month, this is before you add in all the other extra’s and the compensation plan.

So before we even look at the compensation, GVO is already screaming VALUE FOR MONEY.

So lets take a look at the COMPENSATION.

Lets look at GDI and how GVO have cured the pitfalls inherent in the GDI system.

Gdi works unlimited levels wide, and 5 deep, but the issues that trouble this system are simple. Because of the way the payplan is structured every single member is in competition with every other, which means the Guru’s have a distinct advantage when recruiting. I have actually heard of Guru’s stealing prospects off their members for the signup bonus!

With the 2X10 compensation plan in the GVO system then Teamwork plays a much greater part, the fact is any new team members are placed under previous referrals anyway, so the Guru who is intensely trying to fill his matrix is placing people in yours anyway.

For every 14 people in your matrix you get a new entry, and this means at some point it is highly likely the guru will take on of his extra entries, and drop below you in the matrix, hence your upline becomes your downline, and continues to build the matrix under you – for which you will get paid.

Ok so lets play a little game, imagine you joined GVO and could only manage 1 sign up a month. (Even with only mediocre advertising 1 signup should be easily possible)

Month 1 - 1 Sign up ($22.50)
Month 2 - 1 sign up ($22.50 +$9.00)
Month 3 - 1 sign up ($22.50 + $18,00)
Month 4 - 1 sign up ($22.50 + $27.00)
Month 5 - 1 sign up ($22.50 + $36.00)
Month 6 - 1 sign up ($22.50 + $45.00)
Month 7 - 1 sign up ($22.50 + $54.00)
Month 8 - 1 Sign up ($22.50 + $63.00)
Month 9 - 1 Sign up ($22.50 + $72.00)
Month 10 - 1 Sign up ($22.50+ $81.00)
Month 11 - 1 sign up ($22.50 + $90.00)
Month 12 - 1 Sign up ($22.50 + $99.00)

So in one year, presuming your sign-ups do not recruit, and you only get 1 sign up per month, without any spillover you will get - $864, you will pay $540 - you willhave made $324 in profit.

But this is MLM, so imagine each of your sign ups do the same as you, and only recruit 1 a month, the numbers go like this.
1, 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024.
I stopped there because at the end of 11 months you have a full matrix, and without any signup bonus, and just running at 5% (as if you recruited nobody) you will be earning $4608 a month.
but don't forget you get 20% for each referral you made, and you made at least 12, so for your first referral at the end of the 12th month you'll be earning $921 + $4608 for a full matrix.

Do you see the power of this payplan.
I suspect their will be some GVO millionaires created quite quicky.

Do the Hop! - The Biggest Mistake to Make!

Program Hopping - or how to crush your internet business before you start!!!

How many times do we open our email box and find the next big millionaire maker has arrived - In prelaunch get in at the top, Guaranteed Money for Life! - You cannot fail!...

You know the thing I'm talking about, you've seen it all before, but the biggest concern is how many of us are taken in by the hype, we think to ourselves "I'll just take a look" as we click on the link, then we're scanning through a twenty thousand word article, all about how Joe Bloggs almost lost his house, but by some secret method (which he'll share with us) he made a million bucks over the next 3 days...

Have you noticed how insignificant the price looks, (an absolute steal at $997)...

Then there's the teeny tiny writing at the bottom that says, - Although Joe is now as rich as the king of Borneo, you'll never earn a penny!"

I often wonder how many people come on the internet at their wits end, see an advert like this, and bankrupt themselves on some "guru's" wonder program. These "guru's" feed on the desperate - they are the modern equivalent of Loan Sharks in my opinion.

Then there's the the program hopper, the guy (or gal) who are so desperate to make money, they join one program after another, never sticking around long enough to make them work, never building an online presence... To you guys I say...

But what about programs, that promote for the program hopper..

In April I joined a marketing system that did just that, I will not name them here, but when I joined they had 8 Income streams, then it went to 9, then 11, then 7 and now 6 - I checked before I wrote this blog. I have dilligently joined every business that this Grizzly guy has promoted, and literally been left high and dry as he withdrew. I built up a single layered downline of 199 people who no longer trust the system, and are probably not going to carry on on the internet!

So to those program hoppers, and the truly desperate I say this...

Make a budget...
Find a program that will be you "primary business"!
Find a reliable system to promote it!
Then stick with it - Rome wasn't built in a day!

Lead Capture Made Easy...

The Magical and Mysterious art of Lead Capture!

We have talked about "simple" list building, we have spoken about autoresponders, but the step I missed out is just as important.

Lead Capture!

I know that they're are thousands of definitive guides on lead capture, but I wanted to do a short and SIMPLE guide on lead capture.
Firstly let's get some simple terms out in the open, Lead Capture and Squeeze Pages are one and the same, they are designed to "squeeze" your prospects details from them, no matter what you require of them. It could be as simple as their name and email address, or it could involve getting their phone numbers, address, in fact as much information as you want!

Don't mistake a splash page, with a Lead Capture page. A splash page is just designed to get someone to your Lead Capture page, and is generally used on the Traffic Exchanges. I would recommend you use a splash page if you are surfing to build your business.

There are may types of Lead Capture Pages, from those long sales pages that usually gives someones life story and 101 reasons why their business is the best to join, and they are usually all leading towards getting your details and sending you to a "payment" page.

Then there is a short LCP, usually designed to draw people into giving some simple information, to show how quick and simple an LCP can be, here is one I put together in under 5 minutes using the free Squeeze Page Generator Program.

To get the most out of any LCP you really need to have an Autoresponder system, as mentioned before I recommend the GVOCOM esponder.

The Fact is you have 7 seconds to "squeeze" your prospects information out of them, this is the average time a person spends looking at an email, web page etc.

I know when I see one of those 20,000 word sales pages I read the top line, and then I scroll all the way to the bottom to find a price, and I suspect 99% of people do this. So when you design your capture page it has to be exciting and enticing, and has to offer something unique.

Why You Need An Autoresponder…

After attending Janet Legere’s usual weekly training session on Saturday, I thought it a good idea to share it on my blog.

So here’s the big question – Why do you need an Autoresponder.

Firstly let me explain what an Autoresponder does.

If you’ve been following my Blog, you’ll know that last time I talked about building a list. Well once you start building your list you must have some way of communicating with them.

It’s OK when you have only 10 to 20 subscribers to email them individually, but when you’ve got a hundred, or a thousand, or fifty thousand you can not email them individually!

You need some way of communicating with your list!

The easiest and best way is to use an autoresponder, which automatically sends emails out for you at a set time, or even broadcast to your subscriber list all at once.

There are many autoresponders available, Aweber, getresponse, Trafficwave, Easy Video Producer etc.

The Money is in the List - Where's the "LIST"???

What List????

The sheer fact of the matter is we all know how to make money. Build yourself a massive list, and promote to the people on it!
But here's another little fact that the Guru's never mention.

The money isn't in the list, it's in the lists pockets purses etc!

So even having a massive list won't help if you can't give them what they need.

Remember the old days when you met your upline in a local cafe, they sold you into their opportunity, and then they told you to make your "Hot List", that was 100 people that you know, friends, family, work colleagues etc. These were you "primary" targets.

Where to find Network Marketing Leads

You know that you will need as many MLM network marketing leads that you can write. Then you ask yourself where you can find the best network marketing lead that is fit for your business. The following are some popular and not so popular places where you can locate these leads.

1. Your upline may be able to help. What we are talking about here is going beyond just your media sponsor. If your sponsor does have a quality lead program for you to join by all means do it. However, if your sponsor is fairly new just like you then go upline until you find a successful distributor who has a lead program you can tap into.

2. Your MLM company should have a coop program for you to join. You need to weigh the costs of that to determine whether you can afford it in your budget right now. Coop advertising programs can be great means to defray some of the cost and spread it out to many distributors, instead of being responsible for it alone.

3. You favorite search engine can be accessed by typing in the words “mlm network marketing lead” and then checking out some of the various results. Google is obviously the largest search engine in the world and certainly one you want to check out.

A great short cut would be to download a software called Search Automator Force. This allows you to enhance your search in various ways including multiple search engines, social media, videos, articles, and so on.

4. Social network and make friends to find leads. Two really good ways to utilize social networking are by hanging out where people are such as Facebook, and posting articles in social directories such as the Digg. Either way you’re getting exposure for your MLM business and possibly creating network marketing leads from it as well.

5. Look around and keep a business card ready. Vistaprint.com offers 200 free business cards that you can put your name and website address on. Then hand these out wherever you are.

If you are in a restaurant give it to your waiter. If you find yourself lining up in a post office, you can give it to the person in front of you. If you are at a kid’s ball game give it to the person sitting next to you, and so on.

Another great Call last night by Janet, but first I wanted to discuss GVO.

I got some great info so everyone could understand the Compensation. I even stole some pretty pics...

The compensation runs on a 2X10 forced matrix, and a full matrix will put $4600 in your pocket every month if you personally recruit nobody, but the exciting thing is you get 50% matching bonus for everyone you refer in their first month, and 20% every month after that.
So if you refer only one, and they are earning $5k a month, you'll get $1k + your matrix payment.

What I find absolutely amazing is that people take the time out to do live "webinars", especially on important days such as their daughters engagement party!!!

The fact is that Janet is articulate, and very able to teach, and coach. Using Don to do the motivational bit in the middle is great, but in my opinion Janet motivates very well without him.

That's not to say his section wasn't enjoyable - and I will go with the flow!!!

Janet talked about creating a checklist, something so simple, and yet at least half the people in the conference weren't using any type of check list, and funnily enough it's those people that aren't getting sign-ups, and hence making money.

If you're new to online marketing make sure you have a "Goal" and a "Checklist".

If you need to know what to put on your list talk to your sponsor, they will help you...

I would recommend going to one of Janet's online conferences if you haven't already done so!

Day 4 - The Coop (New Rich Report)

The Coop and how it works!!!

The easiest way to get sign-ups, and increase your income, is by paying someone else to do your advertising.
In this case it's the coop - or Joel the programs owner. The fact is he is going to earn money by putting people into your down line, promote GDI, GVO and your Primary business. If when you join NRR you don't have a primary business - don't worry, your sponsor will have.

To join the coop is a minimum of $25, you literally pay $5 per person, and are guaranteed 1 sign-up per $5.

Consider the upside to this, if all 5 join your primary business, GDI and GVO you will get $300 in return your first month (assuming my primary business returns me $5 per sign-up), yours may be much higher. The fact is that just 1 sign up that enters all 3 programs will have paid for the $25.

Let's not get too carried away though, the coop isn't going to give you all your sign-ups in one lump, so it's still a case of waiting a couple of days, weeks etc to start building your business. In the meantime if you're following days 5 - 31 you will be building your business personally.

If you are a Noob, aren't great at recruiting etc, then the expense is well worth the effort.

Remember it only takes 1 sign-up to change your life forever.
